The systems come with a full guarantee against any material or manufacturing defects for one year. Brackets and hardware for 5 years. Please respect that upholstery is perishable and regarded as a consumable item so that fair wear and tear is not covered by guarantee. It is important that the equipment is used in accordance with professional guidance. Any use outside its clinical intent may adversely affect the warranty.

It must be stressed that, as with any seating and positioning system, set up is crucial to its effectiveness. Proper practice is to revisit the client and assure that it is being used properly and demonstrating effectiveness 3 weeks to 1 month after initial set up.

Clinical assessment will determine the frequency of attention thereafter but it must be stressed that regular maintenance to make minor adjustments and retighten fasteners etc is essential to get the most from this modular system. Due to its modularity, the system can also grow and change as its users needs vary over time.

Day to day soil - Remove ordinary dirt and smudges with mild soap and warm water solution. Dry with a soft lint free cloth or towel.

Special cleaning problems - It is possible to remove all covers on Scott items in order to make cleaning of hardy soiled items easier. Use mild soap and warm water solution and air dry only out of direct sunlight.

If the covers are to be removed, it may be necessary to remove hardware fittings. Care must be taken in replacing these items to their original position using the original fasteners.

Scott covers should never be left rolled up or stored when wet. Users should avoid product contact with suntan lotions and sharp objects.

All fasteners are allen key fittings which are listed below. It is recommended to periodically check that no fasteners become loose and if items require repositioning please contact your supplier of equipment.
