Lateral Trunk (Thoracic) Supports (Pairs).

An exceptional basic design, there are a wide variety of thoracic supports and mounting types to choose from in the Scott seating range.

Please remember, whilst fixed supports are more cost effective, access to and from the seat becomes restricted so swing away or slide out supports are more carer and access friendly. The pads are mounted onto tracks in the rear of the backrest and this allows height adjustment. Additional lateral adjustment can be facilitated by backrest cut outs (see 2.1(b)). The pads can be mounted on flush or inset brackets and lateral adjustment can also be achieved using various sized spacer blocks.

The pads have removable covers and are made from hard wearing light alloys and foam. They have two mounting screw choices for depth adjustment.

Various sizes of pads are available as is a special 1" foam thickness.

The winter/summer adjustment is made possible with the use of a spring loaded lock which allows a number of width adjustments to take account of various clothing thicknesses and complete removal when required.
