MODULAR SEATING SYSTEM

Scott seating from R J Mobility is an exciting, innovative, lightweight system, which is entirely modular and extremely adjustable.

This ensures a perfect fit at the point of issue and the facility to cope with physiological changes subsequently.

TOUGH & DURABLE

The secret is in the high grade durable materials used to construct the system. The very best alloy extrusions, anodised in black and extremely scratchproof enable the components to adjust to suit the prescribed need.

THE TEAM APPROACH

R J Mobility recommend a team approach to the initial assessment, with a qualified therapist as the key figure. All orders should be created under the guidance of a rehabilitation engineer or experienced technician and the user and carers should be consulted closely. Consideration should also be given to involvement or consultation with other medical practitioners and professionals such as respiratory experts, dieticians, speech therapists, school teachers and transport providers where appropriate.

Effective postural control seating can have a profound and positive benefit to PHYSIOLOGICAL FUNCTION, COMMUNICATION, MOBILITY, DAILY LIVING ACTIVITIES AND SOCIAL INVOLVEMENT.

TRAINING & INFORMATION

R J Mobility arrange a series of one day seminar/training sessions, led by experienced therapists to assist a deeper understanding of the Scott seating modular equipment and principles of posture and postural control.

PRESSURE RELIEF

Whilst effective seating and good seating surfaces do distribute pressure effectively, it is important that medical professionals are consulted as to the suitability of this equipment in cases of high skin breakdown risk.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

Our therapists are convinced that in most cases the equipment listed in this manual and the prescriber form will be sufficient for your client needs. However, we will be pleased to consider special requests such as knee blocks etc. from time to time.

WHERE TO START?

Due to the vaste amount of choices available and the fact that each individual is different we would suggest the first course of action to be printing out our prescriber form and manual before looking at the various scott sections. This will give a much better understanding of the choices to be made. If in doubt please consult RJ Mobility directly for specialist help.
