All orders should be created under the guidance of a rehabilitation engineer or experienced technician and the user and carers should be consulted closely. Consideration should also be given to involvement or consultation with other medical practitioners and professionals such as respiratory experts, dieticians, speech therapists, school teachers and transport providers where appropriate.

Whilst effective seating and good seating surfaces do distribute pressure effectively, it is important that medical professionals are consulted as to the suitability of this equipment in cases of high skin breakdown risk.

Our therapists are convinced that in most cases the equipment listed in this manual and the prescriber form will be sufficient for your client needs. However, we will be pleased to consider special requests such as knee blocks etc. from time to time.
